The Partnership for Children of Johnston County is a non-profit organization that administers State Smart Start and More at Four funds in Johnston County along with private donations to provide programs and services for families and young children in Johnston County. Our mission is to improve the health, education and emotional well-being of Johnston County children Our vision is to be Johnston Countys lead agency in bringing community partners together to provide our children the best early care and education system in North Carolina. The Partnership for Children funds projects to help Johnston County children enter school healthy and ready to succeed. Our services are targeted for children 0-5 and their families and include making sure child care is of high quality and affordable and accessible to those who need it, as well as health services and resources for family support. Projects and services include: child care referral service for families exploring child care options, full service early childhood resource center, car safety seat instruction program, various family support projects, parent trainings and child care teacher technical assistance and trainings, subsidy for childcare and Head Start before and after care subsidy, professional development for child care teachers, child care health consultant, family referrals, Hispanic/Latino services, work/life issue support for businesses, teacher incentive program, More at Four pre-K, intensive in-home child development program, and more. |
