Child Care Choices offers to parents a variety of information to help them select a child care arrangement that will best suit their family’s needs. When parents are expecting a new baby, especially if it is their first, or when a family moves into Johnston County, locating child care may seem like an overwhelming task. Many parents who are trying to make a decision concerning child care do not know where to begin. We are here to help make that decision a little easier.

Child Care Choices can help new parents, families new to the area or families who are looking into changing their current child care arrangement in the following ways:

• Educational training and workshops for parents that not only inform and educate parents, but also give parents the opportunity to talk and discuss common problems that face today’s families.
• Support and resources to help families meet everyday challenges.
• Educational packets, including materials on Child Care, Child Development, Communication and Discipline.
• Referrals to other agencies as needed.
